Hi everyone, Hope everyone doing well! Thought you all would like to know we our opening the Library for two hours a day till June 1st unless something else happen to keep it this way for awhile, we will be allowing a limited number into the Library to check out books but at this time no computers use. If not comfortable enough to come in we have CURBSIDE SERVICE for are Patrons. We will encourage the use of masks, staff will wear mask when patrons are present. Hand sanitizers will be available for patrons and staff use.Books are to be returned in the Drop Box outside and placed in totes for 3 days before checking them in at this time. Plus don’t forget about Hoopla that we offer to our Patrons they have lots of books, movies and other options for you to look over and enjoy so check it out, if your not sure how to use it let me know and I will try to help you get it working. Keeping everyone Safe and Healthy is the most important decision to make here. So let’s keep that in mind as we go forward. Hello!! My name is Shirley Franklin and I am your new librarian here in Hepler. We are currently going under many changes, including this website.
We have Made many changes to the library, We have new board members, the Library board meets every first Monday of the month, we would love to see people come to the meeting to give suggestion on changes to make this a better library for our Patrons. Changes the looks and appearances make the library comfortable and enjoyable. The new history section that was donated by the Hepler School Alumni and other patrons of the town are wonderful to see so come and visit everyone is welcomed.
The Library will host a Bingo Night every second Saturday in October. we have 20 games for a donation of 20.00 dollars we give lots of prizes away donated by the merchants in the 4-state area, we appreciate all the support we can get from all over. so mark your calendars for the 10th of October 2020 at 6:00 pm at the community building in Hepler. need more info call the Library and talk to Shirley 620-368-4379.
1000 Books Before Kindergarten program, can help build early Literacy skills and encourage a love of reading! call or come in to get information for the time and the days to get signed up.

We have had a blast these past months with our summer reading program.. We would like to Thank all the patrons that participated in the program, all the volunteers that gave their time to come show the children their traits, and most of all the parents for allowing the children to participate. Thank you all for making this years summer reading program a hit! Counting down the days until our summer program starts up again. 🙂

2016 Summer Reading Program
“On Your Mark, Get Set…READ!!”
Instead of regular hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays in July (the 6th thru the 28th), the library will be open from 12:15 pm to 3 pm to accommodate our summer reading program ending at 2:30 pm.
All ages are welcome (5 and under need supervision). Lunch will be served for all participants.
